Basically it is about Russell's early life, which seem to have come from other articles I have read. it covers his movies up to about 2010, which seemed to have been gleaned from press releases. Talks about the phone incident and following.Mr. Crowe has said it was not authorized and is BS. There isn't anything new to discover, if you are a fan of Russell you already might know the contents. if you like Russell you will enjoy the book. I finished it in one day.
PS. Don't take this book for him to autograph should the occasion arise.

Apparently this biography is full of a collation of reports from the media which can only be a fascinating read in and of itself. The OneStar rating here claims that the subject disavows this biography as "rubbish". If you have a negative or positive view of this thespian it can only be very worthwhile. I know I did.
I follow Russell Crowe on twitter... I asked him if there was some way he could autograph this book for my mum (as she is a big fan and we live locally) this is what he replied to me "Sorry to tell you, unauthorized bulls*** biography full of rubbish, assumption and s*** from newspapers. Say hey to your mum"
Unfortunately I found out there is no authorized biography.

My husband and I both respect and admire Mr. Crowe's work. He can play any role, as he's proven. This biography was a very good read and I feel I know Rusty better now.
This is the most comprehensive biography I have found. RC fans need a new up-to-date biography that covers his life past the making of Robin Hood. This one includes most of the big events that have been covered by interviews/articles, but you can find a lot of interesting details by reading/watching the actual interviews online.
